TRAVEL JOURNAL - CAPRI
Kirsty’s guide to Capri, Italy
#BOSTRAVEL
The first time I stepped foot on this island, I instantly fell in love. I just visited again in August & the love affair was immediately ignited. Capri is such a magical place, with so many hidden treasures. Here’s a little list of my coveted faves… Everything to see & do while in Capri, according to me!

See:
If you do just one thing, make it a boat tour. You’ll see so much of the island (& of the Amalfi Coast) with the captains always giving you romanticized knowledge of its history. Also, who doesn’t live being on the water!?
Honestly, the best thing to do here is to just walk around. There’s lots of beautiful look outs, piazzas, beach’s & so many cute hidden corners of this island.
Marina Piccola is a STUNNING beach you can hire a chair at & spend the day. I also love the locals beach right next to this, which is free of charge & a more authentic experience. Great for photos too… just sayin’
Taverna Anema E Core - if you have too many vinos… to da club!

Taste:
Pesche al vino bianco. The Italians really know how to amp up a hot summers day beverage. Peaches in wine on this island are a must!
Ristorante Panorama Capri has a beautiful view, great food & amazing staff.
Ristorante Aurora Capri is in one of the cute side streets off the piazza. Definitely worth waiting for an outside table for a side dish of people watching with this amazing pasta. Highly recommend the lobster linguine!
Ristorante Da Tonino is a whole experience. Between getting an entertaining & informative wine airing lesson & the chef personally coming to introduce himself, to the experimental (& outrageously delicious food), this place is a 10/10.
Ristorante Lido Da Cioia is a relaxed beach restaurant, looking over the water, what’s not to amore?
Aperitivo hour must try’s:
Monzu - breathtaking view
Grand Hotel Quisisana - best people watching ever!
Any piazza bar - it’s a real life Italian fashion runway

Stay:
Honestly, Airbnb is where it’s at for this place. There are a lot of beautiful hotels if that’s more your style, but there is so much tradition & something so authentic about staying in an island home. Just make sure to check the map as the island has a lot of areas no vehicles allowed. I would personally stay close to a piazza or a beach. Bellissimo!

Wear:
If you’re going in the main season (June-September) it’s HOT! Comfort is definitely key here but also the Italian visiting this place turn it on! As one of the more expensive places to visit, the style is very chic. Here’s what I’m wearing:
